How it all began…….
It all started on a road trip back home from a wonderful SAR seminar. Two canine handlers, stuck in a truck, and nothing but miles and miles of road to go down for the next two days. So naturally, they thought, “what a great idea it would be if WE hosted our very own SAR seminar!” So while one drove, the other took notes, and the details of this seminar began to take place.

It was decided to bring in instructors from all over the nation, with a variety of backgrounds, experience, and knowledge. The seminar would take place in Idyllwild in the fall, after it cooled off, and before the holidays. Instructors were contacted and each one agreed to support the mission of bringing new ideas, training, and helping out handlers from all over. The class sizes would be small so that individual attention was able to be attained, and observation slots would be available. The goal and focus of this seminar would be to learn and improve skills to better the canine search and rescue team and to better serve the community.

We are very excited to bring this seminar to you for the sixth year in a row! The instructors and staff couldn’t be more eager to work with each team and help them to succeed. We look forward to hearing from you and to seeing you in November!
